You choose the perfect honeymoon – let everyone else pay!

The Honeymoon Gift List service from Not Just Travel is a fantastic way of having your dream honeymoon, while at the same time making it really easy for your guests (and others) to know what to get you as a wedding gift. The honeymoon gift list service is quite simple.

Everyone can contribute to the cost of your honeymoon.

You can either add the honeymoon to your existing wedding list, or ask everyone to contribute to your honeymoon….we’ll take care of the rest.

How Does it Work?

You choose your honeymoon and in most cases, simply pay a deposit (this secures the holiday). We’ll then provide you a unique reference number (and instructions) to tell you how anyone can contact us and pay off part of the cost of your honeymoon.

Your friends and family contact us, pay off the balance of your holiday. We’ll send them each a personalised thank you card and receipt so that they know it’s all confirmed. Then prior to your wedding we’ll give you a full list of everyone who’s contributed.

If more money is received than the actual cost of the honeymoon (as is often the case)  you can choose to either use the money against a second holiday at any point in the future, or we’ll send you a cheque.

Note: There is no cost to using the Honeymoon Gift List service – it’s completely free for anyone booking a honeymoon.

Who Can Contribute?

Anyone can contribute to the cost of your honeymoon. We will never tell anyone the total cost of the holiday, who has contributed or how much has been contributed.

How Do People Pay?

When you book your honeymoon we’ll register you for the Honeymoon Gift List Service. We’ll provide you a honeymoon gift card with simple instructions on how to contribute to the cost of your honeymoon. All you need to do is pass these instructions on to your friends, family and everyone you know, even those people not attending the wedding. They can then choose to pay by phone or post, in complete confidence and privacy.

How Do We Sign Up?

Signing up for the Honeymoon Gift List service is simple. Call us today on the number shown at the top of the screen and let us help you find your dream honeymoon. We can setup the gift service while you’re on the phone.

As honeymoon experts we get asked a lot of questions. You’ll find our teams know pretty much the answer to most things, and if we don’t know we’ll enjoy finding out the answers for you. Here are a few of the questions we get asked most often. However if you still have a questions please feel free to call us.

Q. Do we get any extras because its our Honeymoon?

A. Normally, yes but this is completely up to the hotel, many hotels do offer specials for Honeymooners, this can be anything from a bottle of champagne to a room upgrade. If you read the holiday information on our website it will often give you details of what is included. Please give us a call and speak to one of our Honeymoon specialists who will be able to give you helpful Honeymoon ideas and advise you of whether the hotel you have chosen offers any Honeymoon extras.

Q. What is a last minute honeymoon?

A. Last minute honeymoons class as anything from tomorrow through to 12 weeks time. We can help you book any last minute honeymoon. You can search online but for complete peace of mind, if you are booking very last minute we recommend doing it over the phone.

Q. Do I need to take anything to prove this is a honeymoon?

A. Yes. We recommend taking your marriage certificate to prove you have recently married.

Q. We got married 5 months ago, is this a problem?

A. Normally a resort will only accept honeymoons as being a holiday travelling within 6 months of your wedding date. However don’t panic if you are travelling outside of this time frame, simply give us a call and we can normally talk to the resort and make special arrangements for you.

Q. We are travelling after the Wedding so what name shall I put on the booking?

A. The name on your booking needs to match the name that is on your passport therefore unless you are getting the name on your passport changed in advance then please book using your maiden name. If you do decide to change the name on your passport before the wedding then please leave plenty of time to do so.

Q. Can friends and family contribute to our Honeymoon?

A. Yes. For couples that would like an alternative to the traditional gift list we offer the ‘Honeymoon Gift List’. Friends and family can simply give us a call and contribute as much or as little as they wish towards your honeymoon. They can even choose to add extras for example a room or flight upgrade.

Q. If we choose a Honeymoon Gift List how will we know who has contributed what towards our Honeymoon?

A. We will put together a list of who has made a contribution or added an extra to your Honeymoon and you will receive a copy of this in the post.

Q. We know exactly what we want so how far in advance can we book our Honeymoon?

A. Flight prices are usually available 11-12 months in advance so this is the time that we can start giving you accurate Honeymoon prices but this does vary depending on the type of holiday that you are booking.

Q. We want to spend a few nights in a city and then a few nights at a beach resort, how do I get prices for this on the website?

A. As twin centre and multi-centre holidays are more complicated than package holidays please give one of the team a call to discuss this type of trip.

-Book Early

Book early to avoid disappointment. As soon as you have set your Wedding date start thinking about your Honeymoon especially if you are getting married during peak times such as July and August or Christmas and New Year.

-Think About the Weather

Not all destinations have year-round good weather so if you have your heart set on a specific country then you might want to consider choosing a wedding date based on the best time of year to visit your chosen Honeymoon destination.

-You Don’t Need Big Budgets

Not Just Travel can work within your budget so whether you are looking for ultimate luxury or just the best value for money hotels we will make sure whatever your budget you will still have an unforgettable Honeymoon.

-Honeymoon Gift List Service

If you don’t want a traditional wedding gift list then the Not Just Travel ‘Honeymoon Gift List’ is a great alternative. Family and friends can give us a call and contribute as much or as little as they like towards your Honeymoon or if you like they can add on extras to your booking such as upgrading your room or flights.

-The Name of Your Passport

If you decide to change your name on your passport for the Honeymoon then make sure you allow plenty of time to do this. Also make sure that all your travel arrangements are booked under the name that will be appearing on your passport.

-Not All Destinations Are Year Round

Some destinations can only be reached on certain dates due to airline schedules so be aware that you may need to be flexible. If you have your hearts set on flying the day after your wedding then look for destinations that have departures on the day you that you need.

-Take Your Wedding Certificate

Remember to take your wedding certificate with you on your Honeymoon so that if there are any special Honeymoon extras that the hotel offers you can make sure that you will get them.
